I WILL SURELY DO THEE GOOD!

In this meditation time we will be sharing about the story found in the 32 Genesis Book.

1 / In this chapter 32 of Genesis, we see the one very beautiful scene:
How Jacob reminds God of his promises, when he is very frightened and distressed.

2 / At the beginning, he recalls the origin of this promise: God of … (As if to say you have always kept your word since …)
3 / The identity of the one who made the promise ” the LORD ” (He shows us that God does not depend on time and circumstances he is the lord and master)
4 / The precise details of the recommendation and what God said he would do next.
« Beloved reader, Jacob could not imagine what God reserved for him by telling him returns … »
To a Jacob,  I would like to say, go back because God knows that a scene of reconciliation is waiting for you dear Jacob.
He knows better what he holds for you, when he asks you to do something or move in your walk with him.

5 / In verses 10 and 11: Jacob, as a trembling man and recalling his incapacity to the dreaded fury of his brother (but he knows in his heart that he is in obedience mode … ☺)

V.10 I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.
v.11.Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me, and the mother with the children.

6 / In v.12 he repeats again “and you said,” I will surely do thee good. “Then he reminds God of the different promises.

V.12. And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.
7 / God might tell you he will surely do thee good in some area but …
a) Do you still believe in his faithfulness? Or doubt has settled heavily? (already tired?)
b) Do you still believe that he is doing everything right in his time? Or your impatience is already at its height?
c)  Are you on the path of obedience to His word?
If because of his covenant with a man (Jonathan his friend), David could say:

2 Samuel 9: 1 And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?
How much more God to us his children with whom we have made a covenant by his son Jesus our friend par excellence.

Psalms 25:14 The LORD is a friend to those who fear him. He teaches them his covenant.

John 15:15 I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.

Hold on

Let me remind you, Let me remind you, and I said again let me remind you that God is faithful.

Remain obedient to his word and he will do you good not only on this life on earth but also in eternity when our race on earth will end.

“Genesis 32:9 And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I WILL DEAL WELL WITH THEE:

Genesis 32:12 And thou saidst, I WILL SURELY DO THEE GOOD, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.. (1 Samuel 9:3-5) ”
